Another Year over
Across Logres, the knights go about their lordly duties. Sir Brychan Eurion returns in triumph, returning the Chalke Spear to his liege, and receiving in turn the promise of Lady Jenna’s hand in marriage.
Sir Tomas investigates a mysterious death on his lands, a man frozen by the door of his own home. But alas, the only witness disappeared, lost he believes, in the woods. On Sir Saravinus Arilius’s properties, a lay-preacher has extended his house, blocking the kings road and barring merchant trade. Sir Saravinus wastes no time in ordering the house torn down. Sir Brychan is forced to deal with a recurring problem, the two men previously at odds over a stream blockage are now fighting. Tiring of their pugnacious ways, he orders them to settle things in a final fight, overseen by himself.
It is a bad season for many of the knights, with harvests poor and trouble from roaming fae making life hard for the common folk.
Despite the limited harvests, it is a year of births as well as deaths. Sir Brennans widow bears his child, a daughter. Sir Saravinus Arilius is also graced with a girl child, while Sir Tomas is gifted with a son, the final gift of his wife tragically lost in childbirth.
